Google company was officially launched in 1998

by Larry Page and Sergey Brin.

 

Larry Page was born on March 26, 1973 in Michigan. USA.

Father  Carl Victor was computer science professor at Michigan State University.

Mother Gloria instructor in computer programming at Lyman Briggs College.

Sergey Brin was born on August 21, 1973, in Moscow Russia.

Father Mikhail Brin mathematics professor at the University of Maryland.

Mother Eugenia a researcher at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center.

From childhood Larry and Sergey was born up in such an  environment which encouraged them  to get more involve in science, mathematic &  computer related topics.

Larry Page and Sergey Brin met as computer science students at  Stanford University  in California and and become a best friends.

Page and Brin  holds a Master of Science in computer science from Stanford University.

Page created an inkjet printer made of Lego bricks.

Brin was interned at Wolfram Research, the developers of Mathematica.

Page and Brin participated  in research project of  the World Wide Web, understanding its link structure as a huge graph.

They Developed a search algorithm when they were both PhD students at Stanford University.

Which was first known as "BackRub" in 1996 with help of Scott Hassan.

The domain google.com was registered on September 15, 1997.

The company was incorporated on September 4, 1998. It was based in the garage of a friend Susan Wojcicki in Menlo Park, California.

Company moved its offices to Palo Alto, California, which is home to several prominent Silicon Valley technology start-ups.

 

Google began selling advertisements associated with search keywords

In June 2000, it was announced that Google would become the default search engine provider for Yahoo!, one of the most popular websites at the time, replacing Inktomi.

To have a strong internal management, and they hire Eric Schmidt as the Chairman and CEO of Google.

On April 1, 2004, Gmail was launched with one gigabyte (GB) of storage space.

Google's initial public offering (IPO) took place, on August 19, 2004.

The launch of Google Maps was first announced on the Google Blog on February 8, 2005

The company's rapid growth since incorporation has triggered a chain of products, acquisitions, and partnerships .

Google started launching many products, Google Drive, Duo, Hangouts, Google Translate,

Google Photos, Android mobile operating system, Google Chrome, Nexus devices, Google Pixel smartphone, Google Home smart speaker, Google Wifi mesh wireless router, Google Daydream, Google Fiber, Google Fi, and Google Station.
