Myth:

COVID-19 virus cannot be

transmitted in areas with hot &

humid climates.

Fact:

But, COVID-19 virus can be

transmitted in all AREAS, including

hot & humid weather.

Myth:

Thermal scanners are effective in

detecting people infected with

Corona virus.

Fact:

Thermal scanners cannot detect

people who are infected(COVID-19)

but are not yet sick with fever.

Because it takes 2 to 10 days

before people who are infected

become sick and develop a fever.

Myth:

Wearing a Face mask can stop

spreading Coronavirus.

Fact:

Viruses can also transmit through

eyes and tiny viral particles

(aerosols) penetrate masks.

Masks are effective to capturing

droplets, which is main route for

COVID-19 to transmit in others.

Myth:

Pets also get infected by Coron virus

and they can spread the COVID-19

disease.

Fact:

At present, there is no evidence

that pets can be infected with the

Corona virus.

Myth:

Drying hands from Hand Dryers

effective in killing the Coronavirus

bacteria from hands.

Fact:

Hand Dryers are not effective in

killing the Coronavirus, it just

drying your hands.

Myth:

Antibiotics are effective in

preventing and treating the

Corona virus disease.

Fact:

There is no specific Antibiotics to

prevent or treat corona virus

disease.

To protect yourself:

Clean your hands frequently with

alcohol based hand rub or washing

them with soup and water.

Avoid touching your eyes, mouth

and nose without cleaning your

hands.
